After reading many of Austen’s works, I believe every heroine prayed this: Let me be vanilla!
While reading Mansfield Park this month, I couldn’t help but notice the similarities between Austen’s timid Fanny Price and Brontë’s brave and determined Jane Eyre.
While reading there are any number of questions that pop into the mind that if one had the opportunity to pose to the author would reveal interesting insights.
When I first started writing Mansfield Park and Mummies, the first book of my Supernatural Jane Austen Series, I had no idea that there would be a third romantic interest for Fanny Price in my version of Austen’s classic.
