Dear Marianne Brandon,
I have it upon great authority, or at least the recommendation of one Mr. John Willoughby, that you are the standard for all that a lady should be. As such I was wondering what you would advise for a Sea Monster Tea Party?
My proposed menu would be the following:
- Clam chowder
- Oyster crackers
- Lobster spread
- Salmon mouse on crackers
- Saltwater Taffy
- Starfish sugar cookies
But what flavored tea would you recommend to accompany the spread? Would you suggest any alterations or additions?
I believe invitations with octopi tentacle flourishes would be just the thing. Would you think it over the top to serve the clam chowder in a shell bowl? I can’t decide between subtle accents or blatant theme overload.
Sincerely,
Veronica

P.S. Would any of you dear readers have any suggestions for such a tea party?
